I have LOVED this machine! It is above and beyond what I need and has been such an incredible machine for the price. It looks incredibly chic and everyone asks if it’s a $800+ machine. Gevi is a great brand at a great price. Would recommend!!

Before Gevi, I made the mistake of being fooled by the promise of a “good”, cheap espresso machine on Amazon. After a month, I got sick and tired of a machine that couldn’t produce proper espresso. I needed something that had good pressure I could visually record, and that could get hot enough to produce crema from a lighter espresso roast. I also did not want to purchase an over-hyped Breville that would likely break—waste of money!

After doing some research, I saw how many people loved their Gevi and compared it to higher-priced brands. So, I decided on this little wonder right here. I’m so glad I did!

First, the quality and care put into this machine overall is fantastic. Not only does it look absolutely beautiful, but it’s nice and heavy! All of the parts have a quality feel. Even with the tamper; I wasn’t expecting something so heavy and well-made, but it is. Definitely beats the one I previously paid $30 for elsewhere.

Now, for the operation: I’m really impressed! It can be more difficult to get a decent crema out of a medium-(vs dark, i.e. Lavazza Super Crema) roast bean - I like to use beans from Partners coffee roasters. However, after maybe 4-5 times of experimenting with both grind size and amount of coffee - much less trial and error than on my old machine - I was able to produce a gorgeous crema and perfect puck! Further, the steaming wand’s performance is just as wonderful. While I was worried at first, I was able to get perfect milk texture on the first try. I’m beyond thrilled with my purchase.

For reference: I have barista training on a La Marzocco machine. I know what a good espresso/latte/etc. should look like, and I’m beyond happy to have found something much more affordable and smaller for home use. Once you get familiar with the machine, the quality is indistinguishable! Thank you, Gevi!

I've struggled with espresso machines in the past, mostly Brevilles. I just couldn't get it right, maybe user error but I was left disappointed. This is very impressive just pulling it out of the box. It's not too cumbersome. Setup was simple. Comes with everything needed outside of a grinder. Controls are fairly intuitive. First shot was an immediate big improvement over my previous experiences. I'm not big on milk so I haven't used the frother. Clean up was easy. It doesn't hurt that it looks great on the counter, it's a really attractive, sleek machine. I'm really going to enjoy this.

Great machine. Well made. The water tank is a little flimsy but everything else is solid. Took a little while to get the grind just right, but when I did it was well worth it if you get this machine you're going to have to play around with The grind, and the tamping for a little while to get it exactly the way you want it. But if you're patient, this thing is well worth it. Make sure you try different things before you send it back because I almost did and made a mistake

Having used this espresso machine for a while now, I'm consistently impressed with the quality of coffee it produces. The attention to detail in its engineering truly shines through, especially with the controlled extraction process and temperature management. My morning espressos have become remarkably consistent, always delivering a rich and well-balanced flavor profile. It effectively prevents any harshness from over-extraction, which is a significant step up from other machines I've encountered.

The real-time monitoring features are a fantastic addition, allowing me to keep an eye on extraction pressure and temperature, which brings a new level of control to my brewing. This transparency makes dialing in shots much easier and more satisfying. The 58mm portafilter also seems to make a noticeable difference in how evenly the water flows through the coffee grounds, enhancing the final taste. And for milk-based drinks, the steam wand creates a lovely microfoam, perfect for crafting lattes and cappuccinos. It takes a little practice to get the technique just right, but the results are truly rewarding.

While the machine excels in delivering high-quality espresso and steamed milk, its comprehensive features mean there's a slight learning curve for those new to this level of control. It's not a set-it-and-forget-it type of appliance, but rather one that rewards engagement and a desire to refine your brewing process. The white exterior also requires a bit more diligent wiping to keep it looking pristine, but that's a minor point for an otherwise robust and capable coffee maker. Overall, it's a fantastic addition to any kitchen where excellent coffee is appreciated.
