Compact Espresso Coffee Machine with Milk Frother ECMG0

Fantastic espresso machine and perfect for a beginner like me. I find it easy to use and the manual is excellent and jam packed with information on how to make the perfect cup of espresso. It also helped me turn that cup into a latte with the frothing directions. I'm very pleased with my purchase!

We love this espresso machine. I bought it for my husband for his birthday after we were in Italy for two weeks; he was used to having daily espresso shots. This is the perfect size for our space and the quality of it is very good. It also easy to operate and makes great espresso. We haven’t used it to steam milk yet, but it looks straight forward. I would definitely recommend this machine to others.

It’s only been 2 weeks but so far I can only say that it looks good, it’s easy to use and makes a great espresso. I can even froth some milk with the steam wand.
I did however notice that the portafilter is showing some rust (see attached picture) so i’m going to reach out to Gevi for a replacement. Even though the coffee won’t touch the rusted ring, I just don’t like to see that.

Easy to use. Altho the instructions make it seem more difficult than it really is. Sturdy, not plastic. Great value

We purchased this for at home espresso martinis and it has exceeded our expectations. It is easy to set up, use and it makes delicious drinks. It is compact which is a huge plus when you have limited counter space. Definitely the biggest bang for your buck.

I've had this machine for about 2 months now and have been enjoying restaurant / Cafe quality coffee daily! The machine is sturdy yet very compact, and very stylish. I was not sure how good it would be given the price difference between this machine and the 'higher end' units on sale, but I would not hesitate to purchase this unit. Very easy to use. Some reviews mentioned difficulty getting a good frothed milk with the wand, and it did take me a few weeks of use to get the process down but as you can see from the picture, the machine can give you an excellent microfoam and rich taste. Based on the number of coffees I have made with the Gevia and the current cost of a cappuccino at the local coffee shop, I'm pretty sure the machine has already paid for itself!

2nd espresso machine.
Wanted to upgrade and this was well priced, sleek and easy to set up and use.
Ordered a bottomless portafilter, distributor and tamper and puck filter to reduce channeling.
Still practicing, but enjoying the journey.

I had low expectations for this inexpensive little machine, and was I wrong! Replaced portafilter with bottomless, added distributor & funnel, scale for beans, and good tamper. Using a Barratza Sette 30 grinder, and after spending 60 days dialing it in, Im there. Using medium dark espresso beans, and producing beautiful espresso with thick crema, and perfect microfoam with the frother. Keep your espresso around 9 bars, and foamed milk around 145 degrees. You will never look back.
Six months in, Im very happy. This is truly a great little machine. Btw, not entry level. You need to be knowledgeable to pull good shots9 bars, the grind, weight, timerthats a lot to get right each time.

Its about the size of a coffee machine. It comes with a good quality plastic tamper and good quality, metal handles. The milk frothier is slower than a commercial machine, but its fine for a home espresso machine.

Easy to use, space saver, and not complicated!

I am familiar with espresso machines, even had a Gevi before. So, good thing because I didnt think the instructions were completely clear. I took all the steps,,, washing/priming but the pressure gauge wouldnt move! Suddenly the machine would turn off. After reading, trying, repeat. I noticed in the instructions for troubleshooting, one cause for low pressure is the coffee grinds are too coarse etc. so I figured it must means it needs coffee grinds in the portafilter before. Bingo. The pressure gauge went up as it pulled the shots. (Smh) thats a new one for me. Usually the pressure is ready when its ready. Not when everything is in place and pulling shots first. Plus the machine turns itself off. So the whole thing was frustrating. lol. But, happily, it turns out that it heats up crazy quick. It pulls great double shots,, and now that I know its personality, Im super happy!!

I replaced an aging fully automatic coffee with the Gevi Compact Espresso machine. Makes a great cappuccinos or your favorite coffee drink for a fraction of the cost. Don't give it a thought. It's work the purchase. Their online support is also accountable and responsive should you have an issue with your order.

Excellent machine, Great Quality

This space saving machine works great and makes a delicious cup of coffee every time. My friend spent almost a $1000 for his but my coffee is as good as his… I highly recommend it.

Ive been using the ECMG0 for about 2 weeks now..
I like it very much. I was waiting for my coffee snob friend to visit before giving a review. He who worked while going to college at the *$ roaster in NYC while going to college. The machine he has at his home is far beyong the price range im willing to spend on an espresso machine.
Tbf- he was skeptical. Not just on the machine. But also the grocery store beans I was using.
I had him watch the 2 shot draw. I then watched his reaction. He took a sip, went through his coffee snib swish & taste routine. He smiled, took a regular drink. Then another. Then looked at the head. Examined the machine closely. I asked him, "well"?
His reply, " yes, I'd drink that happily every morning".
Then, " what did you say the price was?" I told him $120. The reply. " Wow, that is the absolute best espresso ive tasted from a low price machine".

Im not a connoisseur. I smoke cigs with my coffee. So my palette is mostly scorched taste buds.
Infact, i like a 4 shot draw added to a 10 ounce cup of drip. ( Sludge cup). Im a crustly old retired truck driver that drinks coffee like most people drink water.

Like I said. The machine is 2 weeks of use. I do brew all my coffee with distilled water. The drip machine i have is 10 yrs old and has never been descaled.
I dont expect this lil Gevi to last 10 years. But if it can create espresso for my daily drink for more than a year? I'll probably buy 2 more to have in reserve.
$120? This might be the best purchase ive made in the 21st century. Hey Gevi, Drop me a line in 2028.

This is so great to use and easy, now I can have my espresso in the morning.

We have a small house and the small footprint of this Gevi is great. The machine is easy to learn how to use, and makes excellent espresso. It steams milk and coconut milk well.

Best espresso machine ever - I have two of them!! So easy to use! Frother is fun and simple as well. Just let the steam vent if the buttons flash. I just threw away my thousand other coffee makers - will never go back.

Gevi customer service is top notch. They helped solve an issue I was having with my machine. They were very to work with! I was working with Ruby from the customer service team and they were a joy to work with!

Will definitely recommend Gevi to friends and family!

This makes such good coffee quickly This is my first espresso machine and it is very easy to use. Also I am glad I got this model with the manual milk frother. It took a few tries to learn it, but now I can customize the milk for different people's preferences in the house. In a week, I have completely stopped brewing coffee and just use this.

After being disappointed by a few of the top rated home espresso machines, I went to Gevi, and chose a small model. It makes a yummy cup of espresso, with a rich crema. I have not mastered the steam frother yet, but it is promising. When I use the steamer first, I have difficulty to switch back to the coffee part smoothly.
Minor issues, that I will figure out, I am sure. Hope my next review will be 5 stars.

I love this espresso machine. I wanted the same great taste that I got from my older Gevi machine. Got it! I also like that it’s customizable. I changed the volume for my double-shot. It works for me! It also looks great on the counter. I highly recommend it!
